Michigan

There are people in our family who can't understand why we would live here...Here are some pics to try to express the "beauty" we live with. Yes it snows here, but the cold is not nearly as bad as ice storms with high humidity. We have 4 seasons each an experience. How many of you have seen the northern lights except at the movies..we experience them each fall..breath taking. We have lakes and many beaches that feel as big as the ocean, wine trails, skiing, all kinds of snow sports, fishing, hiking, boating, bed and breakfast places,resort hotels, a seven mile bridge you can see thru connecting the lower part of Michigan to the upper, beautiful trees touring in fall, tulip time in spring, our grand rapids of Grand Rapids which is shown in one of these pics with two bikers. Each season can be enjoyed. Now while you are having your ice storms, we have snow as soft as laundry powder, while you are sweating and taking 2 showers a day we have 75 degrees during day and 56 during evening. And Steve...no our heating bills are not enormous...our gas/electric bill averages 140 a month together, our water is about 28 a month...so don't go saying our heating bills eat us up. We like it here and wish we could retire here if only the job market holds up. Enjoy the pics I took off of our state site.
