Ok it is official...I am too old for grandkids. The reason I know this is because Terresa Shroyer and her family of 11, 10, and 6 years old came to visit last week. I tried to keep up with the kids and show them as much of Grand Rapids I could, but now my body is paying for it! Well it is true, if you don't use it you loose it...and I have lost the ability for field trips.
We went to Japanese Steak House, cooked out, the zoo, Olive Garden, On the Border, toured Grand Rapids downtown, Dutch Village, the beach 3 times (once to watch the sunset), Texas Roadhouse, the park to play, Craigs Cruisers for bumper boats, and go carts and video games, pizza, home movies, the Imax to see Ku Fu Panda, and we did all this around one of the worst weather times (rain wise) we have had. We got our running around outside done before the late afternoon rain and thunderstorms started. Boy, am I tired!!
Jason and Andrea brought Bonnie and Clyde to us on Saturday after Terresa left on Saturday to return to Arkansas. I will be keeping his dogs until they get settled in Savannah...Oh haven't mentioned that in my blog...Jason is being put over Engineering and Certification in Savannah at a company just bought by Midcoast. Midcoast is sending him there to set up the "Midcoast engineering way" and to lay out their way of doing things. So they have to get their house up for sale and find a place to live there....good luck...so I am keeping dogs till they are settled in Savannah in an apartment till their house sells.
