The Drunk Shroyers

This was from a year ago after Jessica's graduation at the back yard of her apartment then. We had big speakers and a karoke machine set up. The characters in this play are Teresa Shroyer (short blonde in middle) Jessica Shroyer, Andrea Shroyer, Jason Shroyer, Jon Shroyer, the back of Steve Shroyer with Sherron Shroyer running across camera at beginning, all being filmed by the now Mrs. Lauren Shroyer. That was a good time! My kids love music.

OK

OK yes 3 posts in one day---what can I say I am bored... I decided frost or no frost my tomato plants have to be in a bigger place other than the pot they came in. With all the frost and freezes we are still having I found a way around it. I planted them on my deck which I cover each year with one of those cheap gazebo cover things--I get one same size as my deck and tie or screw the legs into each corner. Gives us shelter from the sun, makes it easy to grow plants outside that only need partial day sun and gives the stinking dogs a place to lay which is not on my living room floor under my nose.

So my problem was how do I make it where my tomato plants get full sun all day, are protected from a frost, are easy to access, etc??? I thought--ah huh--I will plant them in a big ass pot on my deck, but quickly realized after filling said pots with dirt they were going to be a bitch to move.

Well, my brother Jim Harvey solved that problem. The Caster Dude of Dallas. He built these great rolling plant stands and sent two of them to me. Now in the morning I roll the tomato plants to the east side, then the afternoon I roll them over to the west side. This solves my problem too of Crazy Squirrel and his ancestors from eating the tomatos before I can get them picked!!!

If anyone else would like to purchase these wallet friendly, rolling plant stands please, leave a comment and I will be glad to tell you how to get in touch with the Caster Dude of Dallas and his youngerlings. Take care, Talk Later.

Jessica bought herself a brand spanking new car. The car she got a year ago was a 2006 with quite a few miles on it and she started having problems with it so she decided it was time to take on the world of car trading. Boy was she in for a surprise...she learned how not to get screwed even if that is all a car salesman thinks you are good for! Little did he know he was taking on a mini version of the pit bull in the family. She got a great deal after negoitating with a different car dealer. She learned it's a mans world out there when it comes to such things. She finally ended up taking her boyfriend with her to get her car back and go find another dealer and deal. Together they did good. The new dealer was nicer to her with her penis and balls standing along side her. Not that she couldn't have done it herself--his presence just made it easier for her. LOL Nope women and men are not equal and never will be in this society or any in fact. This shit started with the Bible, Koran, Torah, etc and we will live our lot in life. A woman trying to be equal in this society is like a salmon swimming upstream---oh wait a minute those are women fish too aren't they??? It is a hard world to deal out there if you are a woman without a man standing beside you. Now you young ones don't give me any hate comments back cause I use to be just like you--took me awhile to figure out I can be all the "feminist" I want to be but a penis and balls and deep voice standing beside me makes life a lot easier. Love to all.

BRRRRR

Will it ever get warm and stay warm here? We have had frost for the last two nights. I turned the heat off yesterday afternoon and woke up to 63 degrees in the house this morning. Our weather is like going thru menopause. Hot one minute, cold the next and sometimes just right. It was 85 Monday and great--the next day the high was in the high 40's. Yesterday started off at 33 and got up to the low 60's but sunny. Today ??? well it is a crap shoot, the sun is shining but I am sitting around in sweats shivering. Maybe it will be warm by August, but everything aside I prefer the cool over the stinking hot and humidity.

Gary is in Chicago again all this week, next week then a week off then 2 more weeks there. Teresa, and her family are coming the week of the 7th to visit. She is the daughter of Mike Shroyer for those who don't remember. We are going to take them to the beach, the air museum, the zoo--they have young children, and other things that kids might like. I am going to babysit one night so the adults can go do the BOB.

Oh and no surgery for now. More tests to come--sending me to gastrointestinal doctor, where they want to put a scope up my ass and one down my throat---wheee at least they will put me asleep. Take care talk later.

A Great Memorial Weekend

Boy, was it a great weekend. We had sunshine and warmth and great company. Jessica, Brandon (her boyfriend), Jason and Andrea all came up to spend the weekend with us. Jessica left Nashville Friday night and finally arrived here at about 6:30 Saturday morning. They slept till noon about the time Jason and Andrea showed up. Jason and Andrea went to bed at midnight Friday night and got up at 4am to drive up. They got off work late and Jason did some oil changing stuff to the car before they left.

We went to eat at the Japanese steak house and then to the B.O.B. downtown to see the comedy club/drink/dance. The comedy club was good but the band they had on the second floor was great. Comedy club was on 3rd floor, and second floor where we were had a rock and roll band and downstairs they had the boom, boom, boom young people music. They have a dance floor and it was fun watching the kids dance. They love to dance. Must of been from all the dancing around with them I did to the stereo when they were little. I would pick them up and dance while they giggled and squealed. Wish Jon and Lauren could have been here because I know Jon would have really enjoyed the band. It was as good as any concert I have ever been too except a lot more comfortable and fun. About midnight the kids were so drunk they wanted to go home and play guitar hero--which turned out they were too drunk to even do that--but no one puked that night. Personally I wanted to stay and hear more of the band, even if I was becoming deaf.

By the way, The BOB is the "big, old, building" of grand rapids (which can be viewed online). Beautiful building that has been transformed into two nightclubs, a really fancy steak place, a micro brewery, and comedy club. It is located downtown around a million other pubs and cool places to eat. Grand Rapids really has a very pretty down town and little crime.

Sunday, Gary, Jason, and Brandon played golf after we had lunch and were gone till 6:30 pm. They had a good time even though Jason hit a ball so hard he hit two guys in a golf cart and Gary made it over a water hazard by his ball rolling over the bridge where the golf carts go instead of over the water or into it. LOL. The girls took a nap and I played with fertilizing my yard while they were gone. After that we all went to the movie Indiana Jones---which I would NOT recommend to anyone---such a rip off---not nearly the quality of the other 3. BAD movie, BAD writing, BAD acting---don't waste your money. The movie National Treasury II runs rings around it with the plot running along the same lines.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics, I was enjoying myself too much. Before everyone left Monday afternoon Brandon and Jason worked on Jasons' Mazda brakes by replacing them. Our neighbor Jamie came over--he is a mechanic for BMW that makes over six figures a year. He gave Brandon some pointers on what and where he should apply soon as he is finished getting his three last hours his counselor screwed him over with. He was suppose to graduate this month but in late April counselor who had assured him he had everything in order for graduation came back and told him he needed 3 more hours so he has to do it this summer. Boy was he mad! And to boot--he got a ticket in Michigan for being 5 miles over the speed limit---only in the poorest state around would they give a ticket for that!! Looked at the ticket and I read it to say he was doing 74 in a 70 mph area--not even a state policeman but a sheriff on the freeway---

Well take care. I see the surgeon today to see where I go from here. The sooner this is out of me the better--I am ready. Talk soon.

Welcome to My Deck

Finally got some warmth--at least warm for us--and put my deck together. Got to work on patio and back flower bed next. This weekend Gary and I planted trees and worked on the flower bed out front and putting the ground back together where the snow plow plowed up not just the snow but part of my front yard too! Those beautiful tulips are from my kids for mothers day. The red orange/yellow ones are from Jon and Lauren, and the white and pink ones (with godiva chocolates) were from Andrea and Jason---many thanks to you guys---loved them!!!!!!
